Alba Contreras was born in South Central, Los Angeles, she lived most of her life and teenage years there before moving to the Central Valley. She received her Bachelor's degree in Criminology with an emphasis in Victimology from Fresno State University. She has worked with both adults and minors throughout her career and is now happy to be a part of The Ahimsa Collective. Her family has been impacted by the Criminal Justice System, and because of that she is hopeful that there can be positive change if we all work together and continue to work through our trauma and into our healing journey.
